Chateau Lynch Bages Pauillac Grand Cru 2004
is, as always, an impressive performance. Chateau Lynch Bages Pauillac Grand Cru 2004 is rich, dense and ripe with black fruit flavors. The texture is solid, the intense fruits complemented by ripe tannins. And, to finish, there is the freshness of currant fruit acidity. Evolving quickly, the dark plum/garnet-colored 2004 reveals notes of tobacco leaf, forest floor, black fruits, new saddle leather, licorice and earth, good, rather than great, depth of fruit and medium body. A really fine wine.
The wine of Château Lynch-Bages is part of the lineage of the great Pauillac wines. Blended mostly from Cabernet Sauvignon, it combines structure and finesse, elegance and longevity. It is further distinguished by its opulence. Generous right from its youth, it develops more flavours and greater complexity as it matures.
In keeping with its region and its long-standing personality, the owners of Lynch-Bages develop their wines with passion and tenacity and maintain a demanding spirit of high standards. The running of the estate vineyard, the care given to the vines, the accuracy of the planting and the attention paid to the winemaking reflect their know-how by combining the best from the past with the knowledge of the most innovative modern technology. The philosophy of wine is employed here in the service of the owners’ vision of a “wine lifestyle”. Past and present unite in a process of excellence that reveals the magic of a great Bordeaux Estate and step-by-step creates its story.
