Pommard Moillard 2011
is a wine deep in colour, dark red with mauve highlights. Aromas of blackberry, cherry, with notes of pepper and chocolate. Delicate structure, nice tannins, a rich wine. Burgundy Reds tend to be light-bodied and have high acidity, they reds completely depend on their environment (terroir) to gain their nuances in flavor. These reds are lighter with medium acid and typically lower tannins.
There is significant variety in price on reds from Burgundy. The region produces some of the most consistent table wines along with some of the most expensive and collectable in the world. Pommard Moillard 2011 is a fine burgundy wine.
