Product Description

Greenore 18 Year Old Single Grain Irish Whiskey

is the oldest bottling of Single Grain Irish Whiskey in the world and is the latest release in the award winning Greenore Family. Greenore 18 Year Old Single Grain Irish Whiskey has been limited to only 4,000 bottles and consists of hand selected casks of the oldest grain whiskey from Cooley Distillery, Ireland’s only independently whiskey distiller.
Normally single grain whiskey is used for blending with malt or pot still whiskey where it is used to lighten the more robust flavours of pot still derived spirits.
Single Grain Whiskey is whiskey produced in a single distillery in a continuous column still or Coffey Still named after the Irish whiskey inventor Aeneas Coffey who patented the Column Still distillation process in 1830. Generally grain whiskey, because of the faster, double distillation process can lack flavour from the distillation process. Grain whiskey therefore relies heavily on the maturation process for character.

Greenore 18 Year Old Single Grain Irish Whiskey continues a journey of taste and discovery showcasing how extra years in American Oak Casks impart further depth and flavour to Cooleys Award Winning Whiskey.
