Product Description
Midleton Very Rare 2012 Whiskey
is characterised by a complex yet elegant taste of soft ripe fruits, leading to a generous single pot still spice and a long, balanced finish. Due to the hand crafted nature of Midleton Very Rare, there are slight variances in taste from year to year. The depth and complexity of the expression means it appeals to both collectors and connoisseurs, with the nuances of each annual release making them a must-try spirit for all whiskey drinkers. Exclusively matured in American oak barrels, this whiskey is only available in strictly limited quantities as just a small number of casks are personally selected by the Master Distiller, Barry Crockett each year. An annual selection since 1984 and thus, very collectable, each bottle is individually numbered and bears the signature of the Master Distiller as a final guarantee of outstanding quality.
This famous blend of whiskies was produced by Jameson’s Master Distiller, Barry Crockett. Midleton Very Rare was released in very limited quantities on an annual basis since 1984, until 2012 when it was replaced by the equally desirable and acclaimed Midleton Barry Crockett Legacy.
The whiskey is aged somewhere between 12 and 25 years and matured solely in Bourbon casks. Each bottle carries a signature from Barry Crocket and has an individual bottle number.
